As you can see, everything turned out okay with the birthday girl........amazing what a few gifts will do! The key is just to keep your childrens' expectations really low and then there just isn't much room for letdowns or disappointments.

Just Lost!
Little Critter books are big at our house, if you aren't familiar with them then you are definitely missing out! The title of this blog is one of our favorites and it is about a time when Little Critter gets lost at the mall, we have read it so many times that we all have it memorized. Anyway, we were at the store today and Halle, who seems to have mom-radar on at all times, wandered off to a different aisle and then must have panicked because she yelled out at the top of her lungs, "Mom, you are LOST AT THE MALL!!!!" Its one of those funny happenings that you had to be there for but I got a good chuckle out of it. She is also learning her ABCs very well, with the help of our little friend, Mr Quigley of the Letter Factory. I am hoping that her teachers are amazed by her abilities although they are probably clued in to the fact that it is not her mother who is teaching her the letter sounds......especially because she breaks out into song for each letter. My favorite is the Bum bum bum bum for the letter B and the Jumping Jacks for the letter J.
As you can see, everything turned out okay with the birthday girl........amazing what a few gifts will do! The key is just to keep your childrens' expectations really low and then there just isn't much room for letdowns or disappointments.

That was hilarious! I can just picture her and her little voice yelling in desperation. So sweet!
