"TOOT-TOOT"

Here is proof that all the late night basement dribbling sessions DO pay off.  Last week, 2000 third graders showed up for the select basketball try-outs for next year's teams.  (okay, only 75......but still lots!)  For those of you not familiar with how these try-outs go, you get 3 hours to show your stuff and they do inhumane things like lining up all the kids tallest to shortest in front of everyone.  Then, they tell you that they will post the callbacks online at a certain time the next day and so you hit refresh 5000 times until they decide to post it 3 hours later.  

Jordan and 29 others made it through until tonight for the second tryout to determine which teams those left would be playing on.  We just checked the website...........AND THE RESULTS ARE IN!!  

Travis just printed them out and has them posted on Jordan's door with his name all highlighted and everything.  I can't wait to see the look on his face in the morning when he wakes up and sees it for himself.  He has worked so hard and really deserves it.  So forgive me for doing a little "horn-tooting"; if I was a peacock, my feathers would be on full display!

(another "toot-toot" goes to Travis for all the time and effort he puts into teaching the skills/toughness necessary for moments like these.........AND one for me for all the "size doesn't matter" speeches I have perfected over the years)
